Answers to the questions people ask most, and a form for anything else.

Getting started

How do I create an account?

Download Panoramica and sign up with your email address, or sign in with Apple. A short setup follows: choose your base currency, then add your first holding.

What can I hold in it?

Nine classes of asset: shares and ETFs, funds, bonds, cash, metals, property, crypto, derivatives, and a general class for anything else. Each has its own fields. Metal is recorded by weight in ounces, property by address, a bond by coupon and maturity.

Can I hold assets in different currencies?

Yes. Each holding keeps its own currency, from 34 on offer, and the portfolio is reported in the base currency you choose. Exchange rates update on their own.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The portfolio is stored on your phone and opens with no connection. Changes sync to your account in the background once you are back online.

Holdings and prices

How do I add a holding?

Tap + on the Dashboard or Holdings screen (on iPad, Add asset in the sidebar). Pick the asset class, search by name or ticker where the class is market-priced, then enter the quantity and what you paid.

How are prices kept up to date?

Shares, funds, crypto, metals and exchange rates are priced from market feeds. Property, bonds and anything in the general class you value yourself, and the app records the date you did. When a price is older than its class allows (a day for a share, ninety for a property), the holding is marked stale.

Can I keep more than one portfolio?

With Pro, yes: a retirement fund and a trading account kept apart, for example, and a household view that adds them together. The free plan holds one portfolio.

How do I delete a holding?

Open the holding, edit it, and choose Delete Asset. Deleting is permanent and removes its price history too.

Plans and billing

What does the free plan include?

Up to five holdings in one portfolio, live prices, the dashboard, CSV import and export, and offline use. There is no time limit.

What does Pro add?

Unlimited holdings and portfolios, exposure and concentration by class, country, sector and currency, a review against your own limits with the trades to get back, target allocation and drift, scenarios, Monte Carlo, benchmarks, income tracking, PDF reports and price alerts.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the upgrade screen in the app and tap Restore Purchases. It checks your Apple ID and turns Pro back on if you already subscribe, which is what you want after reinstalling or moving to a new device.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions run through your Apple ID. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Panoramica, and cancel there. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

Your data

Where is my data kept?

On your device, and synced to your account in the cloud over an encrypted connection. Access rules on the database limit every record to its owner. In Settings you can switch to Local-first, which stops background sync, or Strict, which keeps everything on the device except signing in.

Do you sell my data?

No. Your personal and portfolio data is never sold, rented or shared with anyone for marketing or any other purpose.

Can I export my data?

Yes. CSV export is free: in Settings, export a full record of your holdings, values and allocation for a spreadsheet or your accountant. A formatted PDF report comes with Pro.

How do I delete my account?

In Settings, choose Delete Account and confirm. Your account and everything stored with it on our servers are deleted permanently. Deleting the app removes the copy on your device.

When something goes wrong

Prices are not updating

Check you are online, then pull down on the Holdings screen to refresh. If a holding still shows as stale, its provider may be running late; the app says when a price feed is down.

My devices show different figures

Make sure both are signed in to the same account and online, and that neither is set to Local-first or Strict, which stop sync. Open the app on each and give it a moment. If they still differ, sign out and back in on the one that is behind.

The app crashed or did something odd

Close it fully and reopen it, and check you are on the latest version. If it happens again, write to us with what you were doing, your device model and your iOS version.
