Panoramica vs Kubera

Kubera pulls your whole net worth together, DeFi, NFTs, private equity, vehicles and watches included, and adds estate-planning tools. Panoramica tracks fewer kinds of asset in more detail and measures how concentrated the portfolio is. Pro costs $99.99 a year against Kubera's $250.

Which suits whom

Both are good at different things. The shape of your portfolio decides.

Choose Panoramica if

You want close analysis of an investment portfolio for less than $250 a year.

  • Your money sits in shares, ETFs, bonds, crypto, metals, property and cash. Jewellery, vehicles and NFTs don't need tracking.
  • You want exposure measured by class, country, sector and currency, plus Monte Carlo projections, a correlation matrix and a portfolio review against your own limits.
  • You want a tracker that works offline and keeps your data on your own device.
  • Price matters: Kubera Essentials is $250 a year and Panoramica Pro is $99.99.

Choose Kubera if

You track your whole net worth, private equity, NFTs, jewellery and vehicles included, and want estate-planning tools.

  • You hold private equity, LP stakes, DeFi positions, NFTs, vehicles, watches or jewellery and want them in one place.
  • You need nested portfolios for trusts, LLCs and holding companies (Black tier).
  • You want a "Dead Man's Switch" that hands your details to your beneficiaries.
  • You want a web app, with portfolio sharing and fine-grained access control.

Where the differences show

What each one tracks

Kubera makes its case on breadth. Beyond stocks and crypto it tracks DeFi positions, NFTs, private equity and LP stakes, vehicles, watches and jewellery, and it can value almost anything else by having AI read screenshots and documents. For someone with real alternative holdings, or an estate to inventory, that range matters.

Panoramica covers nine classes: shares and ETFs, funds, bonds, cash, metals, property, crypto, derivatives and other. Each has its own fields. A bond carries its coupon, maturity and payment frequency, a metal holding its weight in troy ounces, a property its address and type. The analysis uses those fields for income, currency exposure and drift from your target allocation.

Kubera answers "what am I worth?" Panoramica answers "how concentrated is my portfolio, and where is the risk?"

Where the analysis differs

Kubera offers a "Fast Forward" scenario planner and "Club Benchmarks", which compare you with peers. For portfolio questions it connects to outside AI chat assistants.

Panoramica does the analysis inside the app. It warns at set concentration limits and runs 1,000 Monte Carlo paths using volatility assumptions set per asset class. A correlation matrix shows which holdings move together, cost basis follows FIFO, LIFO or HIFO, and the portfolio review works from your own holdings and weights instead of a portfolio pasted into a chat window.

Kubera keeps its analysis light on purpose. It presents itself as a balance sheet, which is a fair choice for what it sets out to do.

Pricing and the Black tier

Kubera Essentials costs $250 a year. Black, which adds nested portfolios, fine-grained access control and concierge onboarding, costs $2,500 a year. White Label starts above $300 a month.

Panoramica Pro is $99.99 a year: 40% of Kubera's entry price and 4% of Black. You give up the alternative-asset coverage and the estate tools.

An investor with several entities and an estate to plan may find $2,500 a year for Black reasonable, since it replaces professional tooling that costs far more. For a tracker with solid analysis, Panoramica is much easier to pay for.

Estate planning, where Kubera leads

Kubera's "Dead Man's Switch" is unusual. If your account goes quiet for a period you choose, Kubera securely sends your portfolio details to the beneficiaries you named. Nothing is shared before then, and nobody needs legal proceedings to find the assets.

Panoramica has nothing like it. Its household view adds your own portfolios into one net-worth figure. It does not share them with other people or hand them over.

If your main worry is that a spouse or executor can find and value everything, Kubera covers that and Panoramica doesn't.

Price

Kubera has no permanent free tier and starts at $250 a year. Panoramica is free for up to 5 holdings, and Pro at $99.99 a year is about 40% of Kubera's entry price.

Questions

Should I use Kubera if I have estate planning needs?

If a spouse or executor must be able to find and value every asset, Kubera's "Dead Man's Switch" was built for exactly that, and Panoramica has no equivalent. Without that need, Panoramica gives you deeper analysis for less money.

Does Panoramica track NFTs, DeFi, or private equity like Kubera?

Not as such. Panoramica has nine classes: shares and ETFs, funds, bonds, cash, metals, property, crypto, derivatives and other. NFTs, DeFi LP positions and private equity stakes have no class of their own. You can record their value under "other", without any extra fields. If alternatives are a large share of your wealth, Kubera covers more.

Can I migrate my Kubera portfolio to Panoramica?

Yes for the financial assets. Export from Kubera as CSV and import the file in Panoramica under Settings → Import. Tickers, quantities, cost bases and dates come across. NFTs, vehicles and jewellery don't fit Panoramica's nine classes and stay behind.

Does Panoramica have nested portfolios for trusts and LLCs?

Panoramica supports several portfolios, such as "Personal", "SMSF" and "Trust", but they cannot be nested. For a trust that owns an LLC that owns a portfolio, Kubera Black is built for the job. Panoramica suits an individual or a household.

Is Panoramica's analytical engine actually deeper than Kubera's?

On Monte Carlo, correlation, FIFO/LIFO/HIFO cost basis, concentration limits and a portfolio review of your own holdings, yes. Kubera calls itself a "balance sheet for self-managed wealth" and keeps its analytics light by design. In Panoramica the analysis is the product.

Why does Kubera cost so much more than Panoramica?

Scope. Kubera handles far more asset types, connects to thousands of institutions and offers estate and nested-entity tools, all of which cost money to run. Panoramica covers investable assets in depth, and that narrower job lets it charge less.

Does Panoramica work offline like a local-first app?

Yes. Your portfolio lives on the device first and syncs second. The app opens without a connection, you can add and edit holdings offline, and changes sync in the background once you are back online. Kubera is cloud-first and needs a connection.

Is Panoramica available on web like Kubera?

No. Panoramica runs on iPhone and iPad only. Kubera has a web app alongside iOS and Android, so if you need a browser, Kubera or another web tracker is the better pick.
